Recently, American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT®) evaluated and recommended college credit for five ACTFL language proficiency assessments are valid from 6/1/2024 – 5/31/2027. Those assessments include:

  • ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI)
  • ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview - Computer (OPIc)
  • ACTFL Reading Proficiency Test (RPT)
  • ACTFL Listening Proficiency Test (LPT)
  • ACTFL Writing Proficiency (WPT)

ACE Credit Recommendations

The 2024 ACE Credit Review resulted in recommendations for Lower Division (LD) and Upper Division (UD) credits. Dates Offered are valid from 6/1/2-24 - 5/31/2027

ACE Transcript Service

The ACE Transcript Service offers a lifelong record for students who have taken ACTFL assessments that have been reviewed by ACE CREDIT. This service enables adult learners to present a nationally recognized transcript to the college or university of their choice for the potential award of academic credit. ACE Review Technical Reports

Technical reports which address validity and reliability of ACTFL assessments are prepared for each ACE review conducted by the American Council on Education. ACTFL’s most recent review was completed in April 2024.
